The communes of Manosque, Montfuron and Pierrevert are currently supplied with drinking water via two production sites: the Précombaux
production plant in Manosque, whose source comes from the EDF canal, and the Mont d’Or wellfield.

By 2030, the plant should be supplying part of the communities of the Val de Durance and the north-east of Manosque. In order to meet these
future needs and to mitigate the risk of pollution from the current main resource, the EDF canal, DLVA has signed an agreement with SCP to
purchase water from the Verdon.

The new drinking water treatment plant at Précombaux will not only increase production capacity, which is now at its limit, but will also draw
on a source of better quality and with a lower risk of pollution.

The new plant will have to be capable of treating 170 l/s of standard delivery. The treatment process chosen will be ultrafiltration in order to
guarantee water of impeccable quality and to ensure that this quality will be maintained over the long term in line with regulatory changes.

The project also includes extending and upgrading the existing plant to handle an additional 120l/s of back-up capacity via the EDF or Verdon systems.

Strengthening and securing :

The project deals simultaneously with strengthening and securing the DLVA area.
To ensure sufficient production to meet peak summer demand by 2030, the two systems must be able to operate simultaneously at a rate of 290 l/s on the Verdon resource.
In terms of security, the process of the current rehabilitated plant must enable water from the EDF canal to be treated up to the level of the Verdon resource in the event of a failure.
