The setec Campus

As a corporate university and incubator for the engineering professions of tomorrow, the setec Campus has three main objectives: to share knowledge within the Group; to encourage collaboration and exchanges between employees; and to encourage them to open up to new areas of expertise.

A genuine source of values and meaning, the Campus is a place where ideas come to life and where talent is encouraged to develop. This stimulating environment, open to all, allows innovative approaches to emerge time and time again, shaping the future of engineering and the Group’s development.

A structured organisation

College 1: Technical Expertise & Project Management

This college enables employees to acquire specific technical skills, for example in project management.

College 2: Engineers & Citizens

It brings together all of the training courses designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees in the areas of Engineers & Citizens (environmental responsibility, ethics, etc.).

College 3: Managerial leadership and personal performance

These courses focus on the behavioural skills of employees and managers in a constantly changing work organisation.

College 4: 360° Campus

Organised around a series of conferences, this college provides an opportunity for a genuine exchange on themes related to our professions: the changing world, market transformations, new technologies, engineering ethics, etc.

At setec, we may know how to present solutions to problems, but we have not always mastered the art of telling the story that goes with them! Our internal pitch training course has been designed to be simple, with a theoretical component and an immediate practical application. The aim is to provide a few easy-to-use techniques for delivering a powerful presentation within a limited timeframe. I really enjoy teaching this course, because the dynamics of exchange between participants are often very rich, and every time I notice that with a few simple techniques, everyone can dramatically boost the impact of their presentation!

The Campus training courses on BIM infra have been tailored to target groups (managers, engineers, designers, etc.) and are designed by the Group’s BIM infra unit. When dealing with innovative subjects that are sometimes not understood correctly, it is necessary to take the time to contextualise, explain and illustrate with examples, and to help the participants and the group as a whole to progress. One of the benefits of in-house training is that your colleagues gradually learn to understand a subject they didn’t understand at first, and then return with a more constructive approach.

Victor MOREL BIM manager at setec international

I joined setec in October 2020 and, a year later, I took the Climate Fresco training course. It was a real eye-opener and made me want to become a Fresco trainer myself. Becoming a trainer is a very interesting experience, which makes a change from my day-to-day work and allows me to meet people from the whole group outside of my usual working circle. The enthusiasm of the participants during the training course and their very positive feedback are the signs that motivate me to continue with this commitment.
