Transport systems

Intelligent transport systems (ITS) are applications of new information technologies in the field of transport. In a context of sustainable development, these systems help to manage mobility, in particular by promoting intermodality.

Since 2019, in France, the new organisation of mobility defined by the Mobility Orientation Law aims to improve people's daily journeys by providing better adapted transport solutions, while promoting sustainable mobility that is accessible to all and respects the environment.

As an expert in mobility and ticketing, setec is a leading expert when it comes to integrating intelligent transport systems into infrastructure. Whether on the road, in urban transport, on inland waterways or at airports, setec contributes to optimising the operation and management of infrastructures and structures through the quality and creativity of the solutions it offers, making life easier for users.

Working alongside the Île-de-France Mobile authorities, setec is notably involved in the ticketing modernisation project, which brings together a series of initiatives aimed at modernising current technologies to improve the way tickets are purchased and validated, and to enable them to be managed independently by passengers. Thanks to this programme, passengers will be able to travel more easily on public transport in the Paris region, whatever the mode of transport (self-service bicycles, car-sharing, metro, bus, tram, etc.).
