Managing an LPM compliance programme

“As part of the French military defence planning law, this industrial group specialising in water distribution is required to carry out a large number of projects aimed at implementing technical and organisational security measures. All these projects are grouped together under the name “LPM project”.

Given the context described above, the industrial group needed a manager responsible for steering the LPM project as a whole, and taking an active part in some of the sub-projects that would make it up

The role of setec is a to provide Project Management (approximately half-time):

1. Overall project management

  • Identify the stakeholders, sub-projects, tasks and their interdependencies
  • Organise schedules and action plans globally and in detail by sub-project
  • Lead project committees
  • Prepare regular progress reports
  • Taking responsibility for the smooth running of the project

2. Overhauling network architectures

  • Propose network architecture evolutions induced by LPM requirements, based on a very good knowledge of networks and their security

3. Managing calls for tender

  • Drafting tender documents, including their technical content
  • Pilot all consultations
  • Analysing responses and issuing recommendations for choice
  • Monitor the implementation of solutions and services
  • Tenders will concern in particular:
    • The acquisition of technical solutions and their implementation: IDS-type product, filtering devices
    • Subscription of security management services: security incident response provider
    • And any other products or services that may be required as part of the LPM project

4. Documentation

  • Creating the registration files required by the LPM
  • Organising the production of documents
  • Participate in the drafting of certain elements of the dossiers
