On Thursday, the 25th of January at 11.30am, Anne-Marie Choho, General Director of the setec group, signed the #StOpE commitment document, an initiative coordinated by the AFMD (Association Française des Managers de la Diversité – French Association of Diversity Managers) which is committed to bringing about change and multiplying the impact on the culture of organisations.

This signature marks a new step in our ongoing commitment to fight everyday sexism within the workplace. More generally, it is an action in favour of gender diversity: we are convinced that it is a force to be reckoned with and that we all have a role to play in changing things.

In June 2023, setec took part in the Gender Equality Forum, making gender equity a priority axis at the heart of our CSR policy.

Many initiatives have since been launched by the Group’s Human Resources Department and the HR departments of Group companies :

In 2023, the “women’s café” organised by terrasol (groupe setec) a meeting place for women, and setec its membership of mixed professional women’s network “Femmes en Mouvement” (Women in Movement), working for women in mobility and women’s mobility.

In 2024, we will be welcoming 3rd grade students (boys and girls) who will be offered an inter-company career path, and participating in external networks aimed at promoting engineering to young girls through the involvement of female setec engineers (“Femmes Ingénieures”, (“Women Engineers”), for example).

A mentoring programme designed to help women progress to positions of responsibility is also being introduced with setec tpi. The programme is due to be launched in April 2024, with the possibility of extending the scheme to all the Group’s female employees from 2025.

And among the obstacles identified to hiring and promoting women in technical and scientific fields, of which engineering is one, are sexist attitudes.

As well as our duty to raise awareness, we would like to remind you that any setec employee who witnesses or is victim of sexist behaviour must report the matter to their management (manager, HR), who will take the necessary action to understand, protect and react if necessary.

All of the above actions contribute, as much as the meaning given to the projects we work on, to the attractiveness of the Group and to equal opportunities for development and promotion. They are part of our CSR approach, Engineers and Citizens.

Joining the #StOpE collective officially marks this commitment.

You can contact the Group’s HR department at drh-groupe@setec.com if you would like to get involved or if you have any questions or recommendations.
