After the April 15, 2019 fire at Notre-Dame de Paris, it became apparent that the restoration work would need to adapt to a situation of extreme urgency. setec teams of experts were called upon to provide assistance. This is an exceptional project, with sizeable challenges, and our teams must demonstrate agility to contribute effectively to the operations.

setec’s assistance has involved scheduling, construction management and coordination (SCMC), securing the cathedral and handling logistics (managing supplies and deliveries, ensuring the traceability of vestiges, etc.). Our teams have also carried out an assignment on behalf of the Historical Monuments Research Laboratory, to conduct a ground-penetrating radar (GPR) survey and analyze the remains. All the teams have been mobilized on site in record time to provide solutions.   PROJECT OWNER: ERNDP (Etablissement Public chargé de la conservation et de la restauration de la cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris) DESIGNERS: Philippe Villeneuve, architecte en chef des monuments historiques
