Following several years of project management works carried out by setec‘s teams, Casablanca’s two BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) lines are now in service! This major urban transport project was launched at the beginning of March 2024. The two lines will serve more than 40 stations in Casablanca.
The objectives of the project were very important:
-Facilitate urban travel
-Limit ecological impact
-Develop a responsible project using a short supply chain
-Redeveloping the axes it crosses from one side to the other.
In addition to building more than 24 km of BRT platform, the project also includes the construction of a maintenance and operations centre, the acquisition of forty 21-metre-long BRT vehicles, the installation of bus maintenance equipment, the integration of the operations support and passenger information system (SAEIV) and traffic light signals (SLT), and the extension of the ticketing system.
