Caza de Bcharré solid waste management

Missions

Our consortium assisted Caza de Bcharré with a strategic study on waste management.

The consortium’s assignment involved international cooperation through Syctom Paris, as part of the French government’s “1% waste” funding mechanism.

– Arguments to support a waste management technique adapted to the context and approved by the federation’s members

– A first awareness campaign among the local communities neighboring on the future waste management site

– An assessment of operating costs for the selected process

– Financial engineering for the following phases

Caza de Bcharré is a tourist hotspot with a major farming industry. The Lebanese population produces approximately 1.5 million tons of solid waste every year, which is mainly buried in landfills in difficult conditions.

The Caza de Bcharré federation of municipalities asked Corail to provide technical and financial assistance for the design and implementation of a waste management and recovery system to handle the solid waste produced by the local population.

Recognized for its longstanding expertise, setec was selected by Corail to provide skills in waste management
