Specialized in waste handling, SEROC is a group of nine members representing 248 local councils and 252,716 inhabitants (2014 Insee figures).
In line with regulatory changes, SEROC’s main roles are:
– Recycling packaging
– Recovering fermentable and combustible waste
– Eliminating residual household waste
– Promoting waste reduction at the source
In line with its public service and “zero waste” approach, SEROC wants to set up a residual household waste recycling center to recover energy from the different fractions. In particular, it plans to produce solid recovered fuels, with an annual processing capacity of 46,500 tons.
