Ancenis (Western France) – WASTE COLLECTION/DISPOSAL, a new recycling center

Missions

The objectives of this assignment were to:

  • Confirm the feasibility of the chosen solution, justify the recommended structures and flag any required variations
  • Propose a topographical plan for the main structures
  • Check the compatibility of the chosen solution with the constraints of the site and the applicable regulation
  • Describe the structures, their main characteristics, and how they would be arranged and connected
  • Draw up plans
  • Propose different work phases, flag implementation risks and set a deadline for completion
  • Obtain a derogation from technical fire regulations

Brangeon planned to create a recycling center in Ancenis, comprising:

– A waste transfer center and related infrastructure

– A trade waste disposal site

– A reception and inspection area

– A materials sorting area

 

Brangeon Environnement required technical design assistance for a preliminary phase involving detailed plans, a building permit application and the submission of a declaration in compliance with French “ICPE” regulation on environmental facilities.

Challenges

setec put together a team of experts for the assignment:

– The Pierre Cointet architectural agency for planning permission and landscaping

– The Ingé Infra consultancy for the site grading plan

– setec  for regulatory requirements, the site layout and technical aspects
