Dakar-Thiès Motorway – Patte d’Oie / Pikine / Diamniadio

Missions

The Eiffage Sénégal / Eiffage TP group, in the frame of the concession, operation, transfer contract, selected Setec International for the mission of engineering, integrated project management. The sanitation and drainage studies for the highway project have been produced by the sanitation and drainage department:

The Pikine / Diamniadio section is the 3rd and longest section of the highway planned between Dakar and Thies. This 20.40km long highway and 3km long crosslink of the National road 1, half designed in urban and half in rural areas, comprised:

  • 6 interchange structure
  • 2 mainline toll barriers
  • 6 toll stations
  • 12 restarting communication infrastructures

The drainage and sanitation study fact sheet:

  • 82km of surface water catch basin,
  • 48 km of hydrolic structure with 34 devoted to restore natural flows in current section
  • 30 drainage structures (continuity as riprap or ramp).
  • 7 containment system.
