General Electric (GE) has tasked setec with carrying out basic and detailed civil engineering studies for the 600 MW Mae Moh power plant in Lampang Province, Thailand.
This infrastructure is the world’s first ultra-supercritical lignite-fired power plant equipped with the latest technology.
The study includes the turnkey design of a turbine hall (100 m long x 35 m wide x 35 m high) and the foundations of a 40,000-ton boiler and ancillary buildings. In particular, GE has asked setec to carry out dynamic calculations of the foundations of the vibrating equipment, as well as BIM for these facilities.
