
The East European High Speed Line (HSL) is a project of 406km of new high-speed railway allowing a commercial speed of 320km/hour, between Paris and Strasbourg.
The first phase of the East European HSL project was completed with 300km of new track in June 2007.
The second phase (106km of track) was completed end of 2016.
The H section, awarded to setec, covers 35km of track comprising the following features:
• 9 viaducts (453m for the longest)
• 1 twin-tube tunnel (Tunnel de Saverne) 4km long with a 52m2 air space in each tube
• Excavated land: 6 million m3
• Backfill: 4 million m3
• Engineering structures: 27
