Launched at the end of 2020 and coordinated both by the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion, the national Small Towns of Tomorrow (STD), the programme aims to provide rural town centres with the resources they need to regenerate their territories. To achieve this, the government and partners (Caisse des Dépôts, Action Logement, ANAH, CEREMA, ADEME) are mobilising €3 billion to support 1,600 beneficiary towns that have signed long-term development agreements.
The Banque des Territoires has initially set up a Project Management Support scheme to help 325 local authorities define their regional projects. Divided into 4 geographical agreements, this system provides a customised engineering service to support the project managers who are financed by local authorities. setec has been awarded 3 geographical lots covering the metropolitan area and is helping local authority departments to adopt the approaches, methods and tools of project management at both strategic and operational levels, providing them with the tools they need to prepare specifications, plan, manage budgets, monitor, control, steer, co-construct and communicate on their projects.
