setec announces the acquisition of a majority stake in Sealand Projects, a UK engineering company founded in 2007 by two engineers, Miles Jones and Nigel Danhash. This strategic acquisition strengthens setec‘s position and ambition in the offshore wind and marine engineering sector.

This acquisition will allow setec not only to expand its service portfolio and offer its customers robust and proven solutions in the maritime sector, but also to strengthen its presence in the United Kingdom and Northern European market.
Sealand Projects has a solid base of high value-added expertise that is intended to meet the challenges of all maritime structures and activities, in particular in the field of marine renewable energies: feasibility and design, supervision of installation and transport systems, anchoring and mooring systems, logistics and maintenance.

“The United Kingdom is a pioneer in the deployment of floating wind on a large scale, particularly in Scotland. The advances and lessons learned from this market will be rich for many projects and for many countries involved in offshore wind. We are thrilled to get involved and to implement marine engineering, transport and installation solutions designed by our engineers, while contributing to the national and European objectives of decarbonising the energy mix. We are delighted to welcome our colleagues from Sealand Projects and wish them all the best in the setec ecosystem.”
Michel Kahan, President of the setec Group
