The contracts awarded for prime contractor for the underground works of the Lyon-Turin tunnel on the French side have been approved by the TELT Board of Directors. The markets were divided into 3 lots covering part of the tunnel between the Franco-Italian border and the entrance of Villard-Clement. The S2IP group, whose representative is setec in partnership with Systra and Italferr Pini Swiss Engineers, was awarded the Lot 2 concerning project management from the access tunnels of La Praz and Saint-Martin-la-Porte. 21 km long, this project will run over a period of 10 years. The awarded consortium is made up of the most recognized European design offices, renowned for their high level expertise in the field of underground works. “These awarded contracts are an important step towards the completion of the Lyon-Turin tunnel” declared TELT’s Managing Director Mario Virano.
