Audit pour la création de centrales biomasse

Due diligence for a new biomass power plant

Missions

For this project, setec provided CDC with technical contractor assistance. This first assignment involved three main components:

– Analysing technical and building options

– Analysing fossil fuel and biomass supply

– Aligning the technical specifications with business plans

CDC was asked to create a holding company to develop a new power plant and upgrade existing faciilties in Guadeloupe complying with environmental standards, in partnership an independent energy producer.

CDC planned to take a 35-40% stake in the company, which was designed to enable the independent energy producer to modernize its existing assets in line with the EU’s Industrial Emissions Directive and “green” its input (substituting coal with biomass). The holding company should also enable a new biomass facility to be funded.
