Created in 2020, the setec Foundation is growing thanks to a network of setec stakeholders. Hosted by the Fondation de France, first of all, it is run by a member of our staff. Since the creation, Marie Hommeau, setec énergie environnement, has been devoting part of her work time to managing the Foundation, as a skill sponsorship. The themes and projects selected for funding are discussed and chosen by the Executive Committee of the setec Foundation, which meets several times a year and is made up of Michel Kahan, Stéphane Bicocchi, Arnaud Moineville, Jean-Bernard Datry, Sophie Mougard and Eric Philippon. Translation of content, accounting and finance, communication, administrative procedures… these are just some of the skills essential to the running of the Foundation that are made available by setec as.

Several setec as employees work on a daily basis to assist the Foundation. The Foundation is structured around a network of stakeholders, including you! If you too, as an employee, would like to get involved, there are various ways to do so, depending on your motivations, your time and your interests.

Let us explain ! Sponsor a project For projects that you have chosen to sponsor as part of the Transition Fund, or for projects that you are interested in (requiring technical and/or operational expertise), you can participate actively in the supervision of the project acting as a link between the setec Foundation and the project developers.

Fabienne BARDIN, setec its,  Patron of 2 winning French projects of the 2023 Transition Fund: I became a patron within the Foundation because I wanted to help 2 associations that were close to my heart: one that works to help people back into employment through bike facilities and the other that provides career guidance for young women from disadvantaged backgrounds. I am now in charge of ensuring that we have made the right choice and that the funds are used effectively.

Katherine ACOSTA FERNANDEZ, setec GCA, Colombian project for the countryside (El Comun): The non-profit association El Común was created as a strategy for rural communities to be able to manage their resources according to their needs, and to be able to contribute to sustainable development processes in different municipalities in the Santander region. Helping to develop social projects through the renovation of a communal aqueduct, is rewarding because we can offer ideas, action plans and solutions for improving the quality of life of the members of these communities who, because of their economic conditions, cannot meet all the basic needs of everyday human life.

Bao ANDRITSAINA, setec Madagascar, Coco water – Madagascar: I  was asked to become patron of the Coco water project when I first expressed my interest in getting involved with the Foundation. This project helps girls in a care home in Tulear. This project is particularly close to my heart, both because it’s so important given the local context, and because the situation of young girls who receive support touch me personally. In June 2023, I welcomed one of the members of the project to the setec offices to strengthen the link with those working in the community.

Sophie TRAN, setec énergie environnement,  Volunteer as part of the 2023 annual campaign: Volunteering as a sourcing agent of the foundation’s 2023 campaign is a very rewarding experience. Contacting potential candidates has enabled me to discover the passionate commitment of the people behind their projects and to realise the diversity of the actions that have been carried out, that need to continue and have our full support.

Join the sourcing team: à la carte! From a few hours to a few days of voluntary work. Over one or more periods, be part of the team of setec volunteers who identify structures and projects that may correspond to our campaigns and values, contact them, support them in their application and take part in the pre-selection of projects.

Providing support and assistance On an occasional basis, to help with the running of the Foundation (development of organisational tools, for example), to provide expertise in pre-selecting projects or moving them forward, or to facilitate the link between associations with projects and the Foundation.

Yvan ROUARD, setec opency, Development of Hubspot: I believe that the role of the Company is not limited to that of an economic operator. As a community of women and men, it also has a duty to fulfil social and societal functions. The setec Foundation is one of the most effective ways for group companies to contribute to this. So I wanted to get involved, by sharing my experience in setting up a Customer Relationship Management tool, used for managing contacts and project tenders.

Interesting points! It is also possible to get involved with the organisations supported by the Foundation through skills sponsorship >> don’t hesitate to get in touch with the management of your subsidiary to find out about the possibilities and procedures involved. If you’re interested in the activities or projects that the Foundation sponsors, if you’d like to get involved in some way (even if you don’t know how!), if you’d like to share some of your skills, or if you’d just like to find out more about the 2023 campaign, please don’t hesitate to contact Marie Hommeau (marie.hommeau@setec.com). You can find out more about the Foundation on the dedicated website, and don’t forget to follow the latest news on the LinkedIn page and on the group’s intranet. www.fondationsetec.org
