In only two months, we carried out a pragmatic approach by building the PBS (Product Breakdown Structure) of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) nuclear power plant in England. The extensive use of visual management has accelerated its development while ensuring a gradual appropriation by the EDF teams. This important step has accelerated the deployment of system engineering within the HPC project. The plan included a “War Room” within EDF where a group of managers and experts from EDF, AREVA and SOFINEL worked on three scenarios of the PBS. The work of the war room, the sessions of presentation and the challenges with the business and project managers and finally a seminar bringing all 40 key players of the project together, enabled to build and find a powerful solution by all involved and which today has been put into place.

Attentive to their concerns and aware of their ambitious construction operations, we assist our clients in supervising and securing the turnaround times in organizing their construction site. We provide scheduling, construction management and coordination missions on numerous operations of all types, both in building and infrastructure in increasingly complex environments (technical issues, time pressure, numerous stakeholders…), through operational planning, the study and implementation of the site organization, the supervision on site, coordinating stakeholders and the preparation of reviews necessary for rapid decision making. In addition to the necessary technical and methodological expertise, it is important for us to deploy an array of people skills which include working closely with each stakeholder of the project, being attentive and keeping an open dialogue so as to anticipate and be reactive when the need be.
