The opening of a Regional Express Train (TER) line will considerably modify the transport habits of the 3 million inhabitants of Dakar. Confronted with traffic congestion, the inhabitants are in demand for a reliable service of the environs of the capital. Not only will this line serve a total of 14 stations and stops on the outskirts of the capital, via the new town of Diamniadio, but it will allow a quick access in about half an hour to the new Blaise Diagne international airport. In total, a departure with a minimum interval each 5 minutes, during peak hours, along the 55 km of line. And a challenge: to open phase 1 up to Diamniadio from the beginning of 2019.
