The main objective of the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) is to provide satellite data, images and outputs related to weather and climate. This information is provided to the national meteorological services of the organisation’s member and cooperating states in Europe, as well as to other users around the world.
The mission of the Programme Preparation and Development Department is to design and establish operational satellite systems.
Our PMOs define the key performance indicators, tools and processes that are common to all programmes.
This is followed by operational PMO implementation to assist the various programmes.
Our services also include planning and training (including the design of support materials).
